    Hello,

For some reason this plugin gets super fussy and creates an automatic redirect that goes to the root URL of the website from a live product page.

This has seriously damaged our marketing punch as there is no way to tell when the damn plugin is going to randomly decide to create a redirect out of thin air, and preventing all traffic from reaching a specific url.

    Can some one please help?

  • I have been having the same exact issue with WooCommerce.

When I add a new product to the system, Redirection automatically adds a redirect to the root (/). This doesn’t happen for every product, it seems to be completely random in nature. It becomes incredibly frustrating because even after deleting the redirect, it reappears every time you edit any of the pages in question.

Is there any workaround for this? It’s starting to become a real problem.

make that 3 – same issue – I had to uninstall

I am having a similar issue with it seemingly randomly creating 301 redirects for a variety of different posts, but always redirecting to the same ‘status’ post format post,

    I don’t use woocommerce.

The plugin author requests that people post support requests on his GitHub site which I have done.

I am close to uninstalling too

    Hello guys ?? !

Have you found a solution to your problem? I have the exact same thing… Which is VERY bad for SEO and user experience !!!

    Thank you !

I didn’t find a fix, though I did discover the problem was connected with the https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ozh-tweet-archiver/ plugin.

When I stopped using that, the problem went away.

Since then I haven’t done anymore fault tracking on this issue

    Ok thanks Chris.

I don’t use that plugin… Maybe someone else here have resolved it ?

I’m currently unable to reproduce the problem with WooCommerce or Ozh Tweet plugin. Please add any details here: https://github.com/johngodley/redirection/issues/196

A simple way to prevent the problem is to disable the setting to monitor posts.
