Redirection to

We have been using this plugin successfully for some time now along with a user switching plugin. Our site includes a new role with more limited permissions that the standard WP contributor role. Switching to users with this role worked great until yesterday when we upgraded to WP 5.2 and PHP 7.2. Switching to user’s with the contributor role still works fine after the upgrade. When we switch to a user with the modified role, we get a 502 bad gateway error.

We use this login/logout redirection plugin and the problem with the 502 error centers on the fact that we use [variable]http_referer[/variable] as the login redirect for the role that has the problem. If we use our site’s home page instead of the http_referer, we do not get the 502 error.
