Not sure if this should be addressed to Redirection plugin owner or here, the issue is, when I rename files and export the CSV file, the first time I uploaded the csv file, the Redirections got created successfully (removed the full domain path and used the short path instead)

Now, what I discovered is, if I go back and rename additional files, then export the MFR CSV file then import it through the Redirection plugin, I get duplicate and even triple Redirect entries.

I’m guessing it’s the Redirection plugin not taking in consideration the existing Redirects imported from the CSV file?

    Hi @fanaticweb,

That’s definitely something you should ask the developer of the Redirection plugin. It seems quite obvious to me that duplicates should be avoided during the import. Seems like it could be a bug. Maybe it compares the new URL to be imported without using the short path ??

You’re right Jordy, as stated in this thread by John the developer:
“the plugin doesn’t check if a redirection already exists. Having duplicate redirects won’t break anything, but it will be more confusing for you”

    ??
Now back to tackling the other issue of the full path vs short path of the filenames
