Redirection with htacess or other

Hello everybody.
First of all I’m french so be cool with my English mistakes.On my web site : Penelope Milner my home page is the blog one.
I ‘ve got two differents main category: “NEWS” and “Teaching Blog”.
I really don’t want to mixed them so I would like the root of my site to be :
https://www.penelopemilner.net/category/actualites/
I don’t want https://www.penelopemilner.net to be accessible. Is there any way with htacess or an other trick to change it.
I have tried :
Redirect 301 penelopemilner.net/ https://www.penelopemilner.net/category/actualites/
but it does not work.
Any ideas ?
