Redirects secondary language with LoginWP

Hi everyone,

I hope someone has an idea what may be going on with the following situation.

The setup:

A website with these plugins active:

• Polylang (community version)
• LoginWP (pro version) – for redirects after logins
• Learndash (with multilingual integration) – for courses we offer
• Uncanny Groups for LearnDash – we offer the courses to different groups and manage them with this plugin

The main language for the site is French and English is the secondary language.

The issue:

We use LoginWP to redirect users to their course after they have logged in. This works great for French language users (our main language). But English language users get redirected to their WordPress profile page in the dashboard (/wp-admin/profile.php).

Any ideas?

We’ve also asked LoginWP for their input, because on the surface it looks like the problem is there. But it could also have to do with Polylang, because redirects work for the main language, but not for the secondary language.

I’d be very grateful for any ideas / hunches / suggestions.

Additional info:

• Our theme is Astra
• Everything runs the latest version
• Our host is Kinsta
• We’re running PHP 8
• Site health is all good (all tests passed)
• Error logs are clear
• WP-Debug log is clear
• We’ve checked in an incognito browser immediately after clearing all caches
• There are no redirect rules setup in .htaccess
• We’re running the minimal set of plugins. Normally we have more plugins active, but they are all deactivated now for testing. If we deactivate any of the ones mentioned above, site functionality would break and we wouldn’t have the functionality that produces the issue in the first place.
• We’ve reset (resaved) permalinks
