Hi I’m attempting to use a redirect to hide specific portfolio pages from non-logged in users. It was working successfully before blocking the appropriate pages from those not logged in, but now the redirect is still intact even when I remove the plugin from the site. So now no one can actually see the portfolio pages including the site admins.

    Thank you for reporting this.

When deactivating/uninstalling Restrict User Access, the plugin’s code will no longer have any effect, and it will not leave any options that can interfere with redirection.

I would suggest that you deactivate other plugins one by one to see if they could be causing the issue.

I have deactivated all plugins in addition to the Restrict User Access plugin and it is still redirecting. There is nothing that should have caused this issue as I have not pushed any redirects other than what is on the Restrict User Access plugin.

    Joachim,

I have since completely removed the plugin from my site and reloaded it. During this time the redirects did stop – which is promising – but now my levels aren’t working at all. Does it take time to activate? Is this a caching issue? I keep removing all my cached browser information and have tried it in various browsers.

I actually have the same problem. No levels aren’t working anymore. As soon as there’s any restriction I get redirected back to login-page.

ok, let me elaborate: Plugin was installed two user groups were set up, both have access to posts with category y and some pages.

    I used to work.

Today: not so much. No access for any user group to anything anymore, except for the login page. “Something must have happened!” – I just can’t figure out what… :-/

Apologies for the delayed response here. It does sound like the problem is caused by caching, since the levels should take effect immediately after creation. Do you have any caching plugins installed, or do you know if caching enabled by default by your webhost?

Thank you for reporting this. Can you create a new thread here, along with a screenshot of your Access Conditions, if possible: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/restrict-user-access/

That will make it much easier for me to provide support to everyone ??

Joachim, thanks for your reply — sadly I coded my own plugin already and can’t help, I didn’t have the time to wait…

    Keep it up!
