Redis/Memcached Do Not Work

you need to install php redis extension

and make sure you can see it loaded on phpinfo page

I followed these instructions. The Redis extension works with the other Redis WP plugin.

I tried following the Litespeed directions but it was not helpful.

I don’t. I have no idea how to install it. The Redis WP plugin works. There’s no instruction on installing Redis-php for Ubuntu 22 that works with Litespeed.

what’s your PHP version ?

try apt install lsphp80-redis , replace 80 to your actual version

No package found. I tried installing the repository for Openlitespeed but no luck. Also tried building it but again no luck

I found the redis.so and copied it to the proper extensions directory where all the other modules are but still no luck. I restarted nginx and apache2.

are you using Apache nginx php+fpm or something?

I set up my server and installed WordPress using Hestia Control Panel.I am using Apache2 as the backend and Nginx/PHP-FPM.

I am not sure how to install redis extension in PHP-FPM though

Thank you very much for your efforts. Hestia CP defaults to installing Nginx/PHP-FPM served by Apache2 on the backend. I had to reset the server and set it up with only Nginx/PHP-FPM and FastCGI. Now it’s working with Redis after installing Redis and Redis PHP using the guide below.
