Reduce height of header

Hi,

You can do that by going to Appearance > Editor > Pages > Front Page. There you want to edit the header part. In the section block, change the height to minimum height and also change the nav menu height in the style panel.

However, it is only reducing the menu height. I want to reduce the whole header where the title appears. Please refer to my screenshot. I want to decrease the part where it’s written “About the…” in all pages.

You can do that by going to?Appearance > Editor > Templates > Pages. and then edit the section block under the header part.

go to the panel and scroll down to Spacing panel.

You will see that our theme set the padding of the template set to {top:220, bottom:140}. Change the padding to suit your site ( note: this change will apply to all pages because it is the template all pages use )

Hello everyone..

I too have the same sort of problem with the header being too large. Must admit it may have happened after I tried unsuccessfully to add a site logo.

I think the solution proposed by gowinda via the video would fit my problem, but somehow the options for my version of zeever/gutenverse doesn’t show the same options. It shows by group instead of the sections and options mentioned in the video

@empuraan You need to do “Edit Site”. Please try this: Edit Site for the template you are trying to change > Select the header portion > Go to the Spacing section > Edit the Paddings. It’s an easy fix.

I can’t see the Spacing section… what am I missing ?

@empuraan when you do edit site, what do you see in the settings panel?

a video and screenshot of how you are doing it would be helpful. it seems that you don’t have the gutenverse panel option. make sure you have installed and activated the gutenverse plugin.

I believe I do have gutenverse installed and activate… but probably not the panel that comes with it… how do I get it added without undoing any of the work.
