    Hi there,
    before, I used WP Fastest cache on my site where I got good results. But I heard one should use litespeed cache if the server allows. So I set it up, but now I get an error “Reduce initial server response time” in GTMetrix. What can I configure to get get rid of this error? Also I am noting that the site is loading slower than with wp fastest cache (although I set up webp newly with litespeed cache)

    Could you help me here?

  • Just care about that your pages are already cached.

    FYI: Any cache plugin other than the LScache plugin uses PHP for caching. PHP is a low-level server module that can’t be as fast as a web server-based caching module like LScache.

    @serpentdriver thanks for your answer!

    But why should I not look at the page load time in gtmetrix. It says it takes 3-4 seconds to connect to my server. That’s too long for me… Any other tips? Maybe my caching setup can be improved? I am using it with elementor

    Of course you can look wherever you want! ?? But if you check your page with any test site you have to care that your page is cached. But notice, LScache can have multiple different cache copies of a single URL and each copy can have different cache status. That is the big difference to any other cache plugins.

    Hi,

    you just need to make sure the page is cached , sometimes after purge , the first visit could be miss , repeat visit will be cache hit

    alternatively , you can also enable crawler to pre-cache the pages
