Reduce page size by showing clickable image instead of video player

Suggestion: On sites where a video from YouTube or Vimeo is shown it would be great if you could replace the player by a clickable image or icon showing a player button. This way we could reduce page size even further. This plugin could perhaps serve as inspiration: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/lazy-load-for-videos/screenshots/
