    Hello,

I only try to understand something- fixed the problem in a workaround- and have no real expertise…didn’t even really know what terms to use for the forum search:

Why is every informationen put into pages (except headline) in the backend, existing twice in the frontend-code?

Sorry if anyone gets toothache reading this, but I’ll go on and try to explain:

In pages, the html ‘section class=”content”‘ holds two divisions. “pad group” whith its ‘article’- also holding two div- contains the main information. The users gets to see everything from the “entry themeform” and I am wondering why that information is written in the other div “page-image”, too. To be exact, in its 4th child “description”. While the code there seems to have no effect.

Could someone break that down for me?

I found this, because I put a seal under the form in the attached page and that needed a script. So, as the script ran twice- because it was written two times in the html-code by the theme- it didn’t work.

    Kind regards

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there,

Please kindly clarify the exact issue so I can best assist, at the moment it’s not very clear on my end exactly what it is you’re wanting me to assist with.

    Hi, thank you for responding.

I try to understand why the code is there twice:

    Hi @shouldvelearnedit,

I can’t reproduce the problem on my end or on your page. I would recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps.

    1. Use the latest software versions : make sure WordPress, your theme and plugins are all up to date.
    2. Cache plugin : if you use a server cache or cache plugin, please clear it’s cache content and disable caching via it’s settings.
    3. Browser :
    • Check for plugin conflict : deactivate all of your plugins. If it fixes the issue, re-activate your plugins one by one, until you identify the plugin in conflict.
    • User of a child theme : activate the parent theme if you use a child theme
    • Javascript : make sure you did not insert custom javascript code ( like analytics, subscription popup… ), for example in a widget, that could break your site.

    Thank you.

I checked the code of the page I mentioned above…the redundant code is gone – from the “page-image”-div down…and I cannot retrace why.

Like I wrote in my first post this was more of an understanding thing as I already had fixed the issue caused by the mysterious redundant code (at least I have that screenshot). Nonetheless, thanks again for helping.
