Redundant files created when doing ‘Remake all’ on movies

Create an empty album.
Add an mp4 with corresponding jpg file to the album.
The album will contain only one item (in Album Admin).
Now in Album Admin click on Remake all.
After the page refreshes, the album will contain two items.
The first will be the movie with its jpg and the second item is the jpg by itself.
It also has a higher ID number.
When I look in wp-content/uploads/wppa/ with an ftp client this jpg also has been added.
Let’s say the existing files were 1.jpg and 1.mp4.
Now 2.jpg has been added. It is identical to 1.jpg.
It wasn’t there before I clicked Remake all.
