redundant folder created in link to file

i upload the file to folder on multisite installation and then sync. it finds the file and adds it to the library, but it is adding redundant folders in the link. The correct link should be wp-content/uploads/sites/22/2021/06/video.mp4 but the link generated by the plugin is adding an additional sites/22/ to the link resulting in wp-content/uploads/sites/22/sites/22/2021/06/video.mp4 which I have to go in each time and correct once i insert the media into a page.
