Reel Thumbnails Displaying Incorrectly

    Hello,

    Our Smash Balloon Instagram feed is not showing the correct thumbnails for our Reels posts. It seems like the cover photos are showing an automatic center crop, instead of the crop that we’ve chosen to display in the grid. You can see this on our site linked above, in the feed in the footer of the page, with the photo of the solo female singer. In the website feed, her head is being cropped off. And here is a link to a screenshot of the Instagram grid, showing how this photo is supposed to display.

    Is there a reason this would be happening, and a way that we can fix it?

    Hi @marketeeringroup,

    Thank you for contacting us! In this, Instagram doesn’t share the thumbnail you have selected when uploading the image, instead we display the cropped version from the image we get in the API.

    In this case, reels will display a vertical images like this one, and at the moment we don’t have a way to change the position of this cropped thumbnail. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
