Refer A Friend Not Giving Points

The links work, people receive email referring a friend, friend accepts, signs up but then no points are awarded.

Please share a short video of the issue. Are you talking about signup referral or visitor referral? Also tell us are you using buddypress, youzify, buddyboss or any other third party plugin for signups ?

Signup referral. I am using buddypress with youzify.

So I login and go to my profile and click invitations :

Just to add to this visitor referral works but not registration referral

I have now disabled every single addon apart from buddypress and mycred and still the same issue

Ok so in Hooks > Points for referrals I changed Referral Links to assign usernames as IDs for each user.

In the users profile it says Referrals and link which is shown as :

https://mysite.com/?mref=Alan

That link works as will award points for someone VISITING the site

However under invitations the link that gets sent by email is like this :

https://mysite.com/register/?inv=14&ih=d3d6b280be006fa89f3a3edd8fe57287

When they click that link they register but no points are given.

Do the links look like they are supposed to?

Currently, the referral works with a referral link only. It does not work with email invitations. The user does not get points by registering through the email invitation. However, we will include this option in our next release. Our next version of the plugin will be released in the next one to two weeks’ time. With the myCred 2.5 version, you will see this functionality.
