    Hi,

First of all, great plugin, for those that need references it’s really great. I have a suggestion but I’m not sure how easy it would be to implement.

I’m used to writing articles of a more scientific nature which require a number of references but I will have to often reference the same scientific paper twice at different places in the post. What most science writers will be used to is simply placing the same number to link to the one reference in the footnotes. So if the reference is number 3, then later on in the article I would simply enter in that number.

Currently with the plugin I would have to have the exact same reference in the footnotes duplicated. Would it be easy to implement this with a shortcode that pulls an existing reference number to a particular location? Maybe instead of [note] it could be [reference] or [number]. This would really expand the capability of the plugin and if it’s not too much work it would really be worth it.

Hi thanks for using the plugin. I’ve definitely noticed a lot of users seem to be using the plugin for reference type notes. It’s not functionality I had considered when I first set up the plugin, but since so many people are using it that way I’m looking into a good solution for this.

While I figure out exactly how to do this functionality, I’ve got a question for you. If you had a repeated note, that you had used twice in an article would you want it showing with the same number in the copy of the post or would you want it to reference a different number?

    Hi,

I’m looking for a plugin that combine identical references in the same number. I found many users with the same need and i still doesn’t found a plugin that made this.

It’s perfect if you can apply this feature in your plugin

    Thanks
