    Hello !

I installed the plugin on a test site (free version), it works very well and fulfills its function perfectly. But I wondered about two points (I specify that I am a beginner):

    1. Is the duplicate site well hidden from the search engines for not being referenced?

    2. It is accessed with the same username and password as the real site, without double authentication. So, I wanted to know if it is secured (before installing it on my real site)? Otherwise there is no danger of accessing my real site through this intermediary?

I looked for this type of information, but I did not find anything.

    Thank you ??

    Hi @focuswp

the staging website is set to no-index and will get an extra authentication which makes sure that the site will not be index by google and co.

It’s accessed by the same credentials you use on your production site.

Please let me know if you have any other question or need more information.

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply. Regarding security, I have dual authentication to access my site (password WP + second password). But to access the duplicate site, I have only one password (according to hat I saw in any case). Does the plugin offer the possibility of having a double authentication? I’m trying to secure my site at best.

    Thank you

No, WP Staging does not offer another authentication.

So you will need to create this on your own.
