Ok so I thought I was cool of me to give a reciprocating link when visitors came through my site from another, but after my latest “Referrer Spam” w w w .b u y -x e n a d r i n e.c o m [1] I’ve decided to give that up altogether. So what’s the point of this post? I found this article that other newb’s to wp like myself can read explaining what this stuff is and why it may not be so good to turn on the blo.gs & weblogs.com ping feature in WordPress. Although I love WordPress.

yeah, i am getting quite a few referrer links from the infamous paris hilton blog.
a good reason why i dont show stats on moi blog page.
if you want to disable referrer logging from your browser, opera let you do it. i surf all day long with referrer logging disabled. so i dont have my own hits on my own blog atleast.

What amazes me is that apparently these scum companies must be making money this way or they wouldn’t be doing it. What I hate about this tactic is it almost feels the same as somebody walking up to you on the street and placing a bumper sticker right across your face. This is my webspace a**hole, there should be a (enforced) law.
