    If using pretty link, are the sites you link to able to see the page on which the referral came from, or just the domain?

    Yes, in most cases they’ll see your referrer with a 30x redirect. Unless the page the link was clicked on was https and the pretty link url is http. I believe in that case the referrer is lost (usually).

    Pretty Link Pro does have some other redirect types that make it possible to change or hide the referrer though. Hope that helps!

    Thanks. That’s the behaviour I was wanting. Just wasn’t 100% sure.

    Ah ok. It seems that for some reason 301 redirects can’t be tracked. Is that correct?

    The PrettyLink website states that The types that are supported are cloak, pretty bar, javascript, and meta-refresh.

    I’m not sure of the implications of using those methods over a 301.

    Are you referring to Google Analytics tracking? If so, then yes it does not work with the 30x redirects currently.
