• Hi I need help, I want to redirect traffic that comes from the domain foldingslidingdoors.com and is being forwarded to our domain to a specific page. Not sure if this is possible and the domain has been forwarded to us so not sure what the referrer would say.

    Can you help.

You can use a referrer match as described here:

    https://redirection.me/support/matching-redirects/

You will need to know what the referrer is.

Hi can you help me as I cant see to get it working. So if I type foldingslidingdoors.com it’s forwarded to nu-scene.com (a domain forward I think) I want this to be redirect to a 404?

Why do you have the source URL set as a directory the same as the domain name? That doesn’t seem like it would match anything useful.

Also, the referrer has to match exactly what is passed. I do not know what is passed, but if it includes http or https then it needs to include that.

I am not sure what the source should be as it’s people typing in foldingslidingdoirs.com and that is being forwarded to nu-scene.com. this has been done without permission and want to stop.

I have tried htaccess and not working so thought I would try your plugin.

    Thanks

Referrer information is not guaranteed to be sent and this won’t work for everyone. Fundamentally you can’t stop external sites doing things like this.

The source should be whatever URL you want the redirect to apply to. If it is the site root then it is /
