    Hi,

Have I overlooked something? Where can I do something about referrer-spam?

Such requests may also go back to localhost ??

    Greetings

    Hi @wpapm

It seems you are looking for spam prevention for comments.

you can try enable the WP Security > Spam prevention > Comment spam tab > “Block spambot comments” setction.

It will redirect to spam bots to 127.0.0.1 if posted comments.

If you are referring something else let me know.

    Hi @hjogiupdraftplus,

Thank you for your hint. Everything is already activated in this area ??

But there is no comment option on my side either. My referrer spam takes place in the access_log. Sometimes with a referrer, sometimes without.

Can I do this via Firewall Custom Rules (whitch I am currently not using)? And how exactly if it would affect the referrer example.com?

Thank you for your attention. Greetings

    Hi @wpapm

IF you have enabled the “Block spambot comments” if request from not your site as referrer it will be be redirecte to 127.0.0.1.

access_log will have all entry at server level, our rules works in .htaccess after the request start to process so might be there will be entry in access_log up to I know.

    Regards
