  • No, because nowadays spammers are heavily exploiting referrers.

That’s the main reason and there are a few more.

Actually that feature was very useful in identifying correct spamer’s domain and blocking them in GA. Those darodar dot com often had different title then their url. That’s another reason why I switched back to previous version.

    Thanks for your response Alin.

However I agree with Marek, the spammers often change the visible domain name to a popular website. Some popular websites could genuinely be linking to my page but I have no way of finding this out now. I wasn’t always following the links but just by hovering, I could see the link path on the bottom-left in Chrome and see if it’s genuine or not. This was the most useful feature of the plugin for me.

Are there any instructions somewhere about how to change back to a previous version of the plugin?

    Thank you
    Monika

Monika, for previous versions click on ‘Developers’

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/google-analytics-dashboard-for-wp/developers/

    I’m using version 4.3.9

Remove current version and install the one you want. Reactivate with GA. And you’re done ??

    Cheers,

    Marek

Alin, please enable an option (a check mark or something) for this feature, visitors info and links for referrals was the main reason why I had this plugin, please add this feature. You can disable it by default but have an option to turn it on.
    Thank you!

Seriously? I used this to see where I was suddenly getting hits from. I don’t get many hits overall and going to the actual Analytics site to check them is way overkill. Please reconsider this change.
