    Hi guys,

I just wondered if it were possible to have the plugin refresh the images on my Twitter Feed, as soon as they become live on Twitter – rather than having to refresh my website manually via the ‘Feed Them Social’ ‘clear cache’ button on my admin bar, to show the new images?

Other than that, a really nice plugin!

    Hi @deeveearr,

Unfortunately, if we were to open the cache to real time, our users accounts would exceed the rate limits, and subsequently be [temporarily] shut down. Our default cache time is 1-day so to avoid that.

That said, if Twitter were to ever change their protocols with regards to rate limits via the API, we would certainly amend this. It’s a popular request.

So yes, at least for now, is you wish to see real time Twitter updates, you will need to manually clear the FTS cache to refresh.

    Cheers

Ahh, hence the reason that plugins like SNAP or FSPoster get your accounts suspended or banned after a couple of days?

It’s nice to see a plugin that respects the rate limits, even though it’s a pain in the ass to keep clearing the cache.

    Thanks for the info!
