Hello and thank you for the nice work with this plug-in!

I have create a Facebook feed with an hourly fresh interval and have selected “Refresh only when products changed”.

This will basically ignore the “hourly” instruction and update whenever there is any change or new product according to this page: https://adtribes.io/update-product-feed-products-changed-new-ones-added/

    Is that correct?

I am asking because after changing an existing product, the feed keeps showing the old price. I tired creating a new one and after checking the xml feed, I see that the new product is also missing.

Is there any interval/time limit to the feed refresh when making such change?

If I do a manual refresh, I see all the expected changes to the xml feed and everything seems normal.
(The “Feed statistics” page seems to be taking some extra time to upgrade)

What I need is for the feed to refresh automatically after any change on products or after adding and new products.

Can I check some logs and see why there is no update after a new product?

    Thank you so much!

PS:Could this be related to caching? e.g. W3Total cache? Manual refresh works fine. If caching could be an issue, is there some suggested caching config or specific plugin that would work without causing problems?
PS2: I have a small number of products, less than 100

  • Is that correct?

Yes that is correct, the hourly updates won’t run when no changes have been made to products. When a change to a product is made the next hourly run will process it. It is not like the feed will immediately update when a product change has been recorded.

Is there any other way to trigger the update without clicking the manual refresh button?
Something that could be used with a woocommerce hook to trigger a feed regeneration upon product change?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Yes in that case you would have to put the refresh interval of the feed on an hourly update and trigger the woosea_cron_hook in your list of cron hooks will also force an update of the feed(s).

Assuming the issue at hand has been resolved or our support is no longer required I am going to close this topic for housekeeping reasons now. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our support-team again whenever you need our help.
