RefTagger for BuddyPress Activity Posts

I am loving this plugin. However, I am wanting to integrate it with a BuddyPress community for activity posts. I noticed that it does not work on BuddyPress activity posts. Can anyone help me get this working? Or can the plugin developer please add this support ASAP? I think it would be really neat to have it so that any member can post a Bible verse in their activity feed and have RefTagger handle it accordingly! I was really hoping for this functionality outside the box, and I am not sure why it is not working.
