    Hi!

I am configuring PayPal payments to use it with Woo Subscriptions. We did two payment with the same account. The payments work well and the first refund went through without problemn. When trying to refund the second order I get the error “An error occurred while attempting to create the refund using the payment gateway API.” (Wording might vary as I am translating the error)

In the forum I found that some people have this issue with older versions of the plugin but I am running version 2.9.6.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Choni

    Hello @chonicodefish

The only way to answer this question is to get access to the log output from refund. Please note that these log files are only generated if “Logging” is activated in your plugin settings. You can enable this feature from the “Connection” tab in your plugin settings.

Once “Logging” is enabled, every transaction will generate a log entry. It’s important to understand that if “Logging” wasn’t enabled before, there will be no previous records of the transactions. In that situation, you’ll need to create another refund attempt to generate new log entries.

You can retrieve these logs from the path:
Access the WooCommerce > Status > Logs section, and proceed to choose the most recent “woocommerce-paypal-payments” file associated with the date of the failed order.

Please provide those log entries on our PrivateBin. After uploading, send us the link, so we can review them in detail.

If you do not wish to share this information publicly, we suggest you contact us directly for further assistance. Here’s how you can request support:?Request Support. Please make sure to include the URL of this thread in your ticket for reference.

    Looking forward to your feedback.

    Kind Regards,
