The Refund via Stripe button should automatically trigger the refund.

When you open the order in the dashboard, is there any error in the Order Notes on the right side panel?

There are no updates in the Order Notes and the Order Status didn’t change as well.

However, there is an indication that the order was refunded but it was not confirmed by an email.

Looking at your system status, I see that you have 2 payment plugins active that use Stripe. Do you have separate Stripe accounts associated with each plugin?

I’d suggest creating a staging site and placing test orders using each payment gateway above to see if the issue is specifically linked to one of them.

Your hosting company may offer staging functionality. If they don’t, you can create a staging site using a plugin called?WP Staging: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/

Thanks for pointing that out.

We don’t actually use the WooCommerce Payments plugin yet. It was setup so we can include Apple Pay and Google Pay in the future.

The WooCommerce Payments is now disabled, left the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin untouched, and I ran a quick refund test. After a couple of hours the Order Status has been updated to Refunded. I have not yet received any confirmation email of the refund nor it has reflected to my bank account.

A refund will not appear in your bank account instantly, it will need some business days to process (10 to 14 business days) depending on the payment method being used.

Kindly note this forum is specific for WooCommerce core, but of course, feel free to open a new topic in the Stripe forum here to follow this up regarding the refund email not being received.
