“Refused to Connect” | Can’t edit | Can’t view plugin details
-
I am having an issue where the Elementor theme builder and the “view details” screen for plugins gives me a refused to connect error. When I try to edit with elementor or view plugin details i get a “your-site refused to connect” error.
The Elementor loading screen gets stuck and just spins when i try to edit pages.
I think my issue here is somewhere in my browser not showing iframes or something of that nature from the research I’ve done but i have no idea at this point and i need help.
My hosting provider is Namecheap and I use cpanel.
I’ve tried multiple different things to try and resolve this including:
- tried editing wpconfig.php storage to 512m
- tried editing .htaccess and adding xframes to sameorigin
- Cleared cache from browser, cache plugin, cpanel cache
- tried deactivating all plugins and themes and turning back on one by one
- cleared dns cache
- tried deactivating security plugin and updating firewall (word fence)
- switching browsers (From Edge to Chrome)
