    Hello

For some time now we get this error:

analysis-worker-1490.js:1 Refused to execute script from 'https://www.domain.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/js/dist/commons-1490.js' because its MIME type ('text/x-js') is not executable.

We reinstalled the plugin, but the error does not go away.

    Any idea?

    Thanks
    Aldo

  • Hi @ab_lu,

    Thank you for reaching out!

We’re sorry to hear you are having issues with the plugin. Let’s find out what’s happening on your site and get this fixed.

We tried to find and replicate this issue, but were unable to do so. Can you elaborate when you get this issue? Is this on the editing screen when you edit a post or page? Or is this on the front-end?

Additionally, are you running any caching plugin or security plugin that affects the MIME times on your site? In any case, we would recommend doing a conflict check to check what combination of plugins/themes that make this issue appear. You can find more details on how to do this here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

    Hi Jeroen

    Thank for getting back.
We are experiencing this on the edit screen only (posts and pages).
We also contacted the hoster and there is no such rule blocking this mime type and we also disabled any caching plugins.
And we also run the conflict check and got the same problem.

    Thanks
    Aldo

    Hi @ab_lu,

Thank you for getting back to us.

While doing the conflict check, can you confirm you got the same issue when Yoast SEO is the only active plugin and while using a default theme? If so, that would be unexpected. We can’t replicate the issue in our test environments. Can you please check if your host and/or site meet the plugin requirements found here: https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/.

    Hi Jeroem

Yes I can confirm Yoast SEO was the only active plugin using default theme.
    Requirements are met.

I’ve found a related Github issue where another user has run into something similar. We still believe this is possibly caused by some setup or hosting configuration upstream, cause we don’t set the MIME type on these files. Can you please check the Github issue and ask your host if they do something anything related to compression or adjustments to the site output?

We would happy to hear more details from you or your host. Thank you in advance!
