I am using advanced ads to display google adsense within the peepso plugin with the gecko theme. If I put the advanced ads widget on a page, an advertisement shows. If however I place the ads in the peepso ads placement to show ads in the activity feed, nothing happens. I contacted peepso technical support and received this response:

Hello, I found an error in console while visiting your main activity page. Here is the error: Refused to frame \'https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/\' because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: \"frame-src cm.g.doubleclick.net googleads.g.doubleclick.net www.google.com accounts.google.com pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/s/cookie_push.html gmsg: https://tpc.googlesyndication.com/sadbundle/$csp=er3$/2628816881047370273/970x250/index.html\". It seems that your adsense code is violates the content security policy.

Does anyone recognise this and/or know how to resolve it?

    Thanks

    Andy

    Hi supamoov,

    Thanks for reporting your issue.

I have seen a similar error message before, but it only showed up in Chrome.

Advanced Ads doesn’t modify the AdSense code, and I guess you will see the same result if you paste the code that you directly copy from your AdSense account.

Is there any chance to see this error live in my browser, or can you only replicate it on your staging site?

    Best regards,
    Joachim

    Hi Joachim
I checked with my ISP and reviewed the .htaccess file. There was no CSP directives in it. I experimented by adding some and then removing them. It was having an effect – I managed to destroy the site’s style for example! I’ve not been able to reproduce this issue however. I’ve asked the peepso support people where they saw the error, because I can’t find it. When I open the console there is no mention of it.

I’ve marked this as resolved and will create a new ticket with more information if I can find more evidence.
    Thanks
    Andy
