    Hello!

For my Facebook Add to cart event in google tag manager I am using a trigger I created myself “click on add to cart” (settings: click classes equals single_add_to_cart_button button alt). However I feel like this may not have been the correct way to set it up, since I can see that you have the event action add_to_cart in your plugin.

Looking in analytics over the same time period I can see the following:
Enhanced E-commece, event action: add_to_cart: 2386 total events

Event action “click on add to cart” (the one I created): 1713 total events

So mine doesn’t seem to be correct.

    My questions:
    1) I want to update the trigger to capture your event action more correctly. How would you go about this in google tag manager? Is add_to_cart the click id?

    2) Now I just wonder.. how might this affect things in Facebook ads? What happens in Facebook ads if I update the trigger?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @isabella92,

The free version of our plugin is built using native implementation and doesn’t utilize GTM capabilities to track data.

And We thoroughly checked the add_to_cart tracking at the category page, product page, and for related products(at the product page) and observed that the event is getting tracked correctly via our plugin. So you can be sure about the correctness of the add_to_cart data.

Regarding FB tracking queries: Here, we would have helped you but the queries are out of the scope of this plugin. We hope you understand our side here.

    Regards,
    Tatvic Analytics.
