    Hello!

The customer limit for coupons doesn’t seem to work for me. I want customers to be able to use a specific discount code only once on our site. However it seems you can keep keep reusing it after a purchase. I did something testing as described below:

First I made a purchase with a specific email in inkognito-mode, using a testcode.
I then closed the window, opened a new inkognito-mode where I tried to use the same testcode again, and it was applied. I then filled out the customer information, where I used the exact same email adress as used in the last purchase. This is where I thought there might come up a message saying “you have already used this discount code the max amount of times allowed” or something like that, but that didn’t happen.

Is this now how it is supposed to work, am I doing something wrong? Please help =)

    Best regards,

PS: We only have guest checkout, no user accounts for customers.

    Hi @isabella92,

I’ve followed the steps that you mentioned and it is working as expected for me: https://snipboard.io/2arT7l.jpg

May I know the version of Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce you have?

There might be a conflict with other plugins or your theme that causing this issue. Could you please deactivate all of your other plugins except the WooCommerce and Advanced Coupons for the WooCommerce plugin? Then please check if usage restriction is working again

If it already correct, then you can turn on other plugins one by one to find the culprit.

    Best regards,

    Hello!

    Thank you for your reply.

What I am trying to achevive:
    – Make sure that a specific discount code can only be used once by a customer

Can you just make sure that I have used the right settings for this functionality?
    – On my discount code in question, I have clicked on “usage limit” (the third one from above), then under “maximum user limit per customer”, put “1”?
    Is this correct?

    – And then if I want to change the default message, I go to Coupons – settings – role restrictions?

    Regarding the plugin versions:
Advanced coupons for Woocommerce free: 1.4.2
Advanced Coupons for Woocommerce Premium: 2.6.1

    Best regards

    Hi @isabella92,

Yes, this should be the correct step:

    – On my discount code in question, I have clicked on “usage limit” (the third one from above), then under “maximum user limit per customer”, put “1”?
    Is this correct?

The role restriction error message is only applied if you’ve set the role restriction. Not the Usage Restriction.

As you have our premium plugin, please kindly send us your admin login via our premium support channel here: https://advancedcouponsplugin.com/submit-support-ticket/
