There is an issue currently with workcosec.com for which unable to access WP admin panel. The content of the blog posts is not visible. Only the home page is visible. If the content of the blog posts were visible, I would have copied them manually and pasted them into a new WordPress instance (carfinsure.com).

I have started with a new WordPress instance connected with carfinsure.com (sort of temporary domain name). Next, the objective is to migrate only the blog posts that are currently appearing on workcosec.com into carfinsure.com. Once that is successful, I will remove carfinsure.com domain name and connect the same with workcosec.com.

I understand the process will be through FTP. Perhaps I need to copy wp-content folder of workcosec.com and paste the same into carfinsure.com. Should I proceed?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Your posts and non-uploaded content live in the MySQL database.

The easiest way to move only the content is via Tools > Export in the original site’s Dashboard and Tools > Import > WordPress in the new site’s Dashboard.

… which now that I re-read your post, you can’t do.

Your next option is to backup the database: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/backing-up-your-database/

Then, restore it for the new site: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/restoring-your-database-from-backup/

Make sure that you change the siteurl and home values in the restored database to the new site’s URL: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/changing-the-site-url/#changing-the-url-directly-in-the-database

FTP will likely only give you the site’s files, and not the content which lives in the database server. You’ll need something to connect to the database server (eg web-based software like phpMyAdmin, Adminer; or a local MySQL client software) and backup the database as well.

It may be far easier to simply resolve the “issue” with workcosec.com so you can log in and export or backup your content.

So connect via FTP and rename the plugins folder inside wp-content/. This should disable all plugins. Then check if you can access the dashboard now. If you still see the same error message, rename both the genesis and magazine-pro folders inside wp-content/themes. This should disable your active theme as well, and hopefully allow you to login.

    Standing by for feedack.

After renaming plugins folder, and then renaming magazine-pro, I can see the content of the blog posts. But not able to access WP admin dashboard.

What I am going to do is to do migration manually by copy/paste.
