Regarding Migrating WordPress

  • Dear Friends,

    I have a wordpress+woocommerce website that I need to migrate to new server as I am changing host. Will copy all the files to new server and exporting/importing the database would be enough to migrate without losing any settings etc? I will be using same domain.

    Thanks for the reply. My host offered to migrate entire website using full cpanel backup but it seems they used a previous backup and as a result some orders are missing. Is it possible for me to download a fresh mysql backup from previous server and upload it on new?

    Sure. If the file system is the same could be a good solution but you have to change details in the wp-config file.
