I set Wordfence up on all of my sites to send the activity report monthly. I have one site where the report did not show up at the beginning of June. I did get the May report from this site. I get other emails from Wordfence (on the site with the missing report) on a daily basis when someone logs in, or is locked out.

Hosting is on Linux at GoDaddy. We have no new plugins since the last report was received. Managewp monitoring shows no connectivity issues for the date the report should have been generated and mailed.

Is there some way to manually trigger the report for June to be sent?

  • Hi,
There is no option to regenerate the activity report email, but all the data in this email can be reviewed from the “Wordfence Activity” widget in WordPress Dashboard and from the widgets in (Wordfence > Dashboard).

There is no widget to display the “Recently Modified Files”, but if you have SSH access to your server, then I suggest using these useful commands mentioned on “How to Clean a Hacked WordPress Site using Wordfence” article -check “A few useful tools” section- so you should able to list the recently modified files in any directory on your server.

Also, you can check (Wordfence > Live Traffic) and filter the traffic by “Blocked” to get a list of “Recently Blocked Attacks”.

    Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. The site has not been hacked. We send the report monthly to the client as part of the service we provide. Is there a way to resend the email in the premium version of the plugin? That might be an incentive for them to upgrade.

I know your website wasn’t hacked, I just referred to this article as it has a method mentioned in “A few useful tools” section to get a list of the recently modified files.

Another way to get this lost email is to contact your hosting provider, sometimes they can check their mail server logs around this date and track this lost email for you.

    Thanks.
