Regenerate Thumbnails Plugin Just Stopped

  • I am trying out a new Thesis skin on my development server, using a clone of my live site, which has a lot of images. I needed to change the size of all my images to look good with the new skin. Regenerate thumbnails was chugging along, but stopped at 71.2%, 1201 out of 1686 images resized. There is no activity and no error message. I don’t know what made it stop. I left the window open and Firefox running, but I didn’t hang around to watch it. At some point I came back and saw there was no activity.

  • 2nd for me, it stoped at 256 pictures.

    @kathy_p, have you realy waiting over 6 months for an awnser? Is there any support over here?

    @margje, I stopped waiting a long time ago. Sometimes there is support and sometimes not. It is run by volunteers who are willing to help but don’t know everything. The ones who do know everything are getting paid for their expertise.

    It did run through all the images for me the second time. I don’t think anything changed in the way I did things, probably I just picked a time when not too many people were visiting and there were more server resources available.

    But in the end it didn’t do what I wanted it to do, which was swap out 500px images from the old theme and replace them with 640px images that the new theme could use.
