Regex possible for text area field?

Going through the filtering options for Maspik, I noticed that it is possible to filter emails-addresses using regex, which is great. However, the same instruction is missing for the text area field. Is the feature also there, but the possibility omitted? Considering that likely spam terms like ‘SEO’ may be a substring to many which you’d want to filter, regex would be very powerful here.
