    Hi,

First, thanks for this wonderful plugin. I’ve installed it on this French website : https://www.lespetitsdebrouillardsgrandouest.org/evenements/.

It seems to work great except two problems. When a new location is added in the back-office, when clicking on the “search address” button:
    – in the “state” zone, the “region” name appears automatically (instead of the proper “state” name)
    – in the “region” zone, the “city” name appears (instead of the proper “region” name)
    – and thus the “state” name does not appear at all.

Is there any localisation parameters (for France) I should be aware of in order to solve this problem? Ant other idea?

Moreover, in the two “region” and “state” zones, we had previously implemented drop-down menus/lists in order for our users not two misspell them. Is there any way to re-implement this?

Of course I’d like not to loose changes when updating the plugin.

    Thanks

    -Josselin

    Hi Josseling,
First of all, thank you for using my plugin.

Could you give me the full address so I can have a look, please?

    Hi,

    For instance : for
    “Le lieu unique
    quai ferdinand favre
    44 000 nantes”

Here is the test with the wrong location (autocompleted with “Search address” button”: https://www.lespetitsdebrouillardsgrandouest.org/events/evenement-de-test/

Here is the corrected version (manually corrected): https://www.lespetitsdebrouillardsgrandouest.org/events/nantes-soiree-associative/

    Thanks a lot.

I’m sorry, but the search result is 100% correct. If I enter:
    Address: quai ferdinand favre
    City: nantes

Then click “Address Search”, this is the autofilled result. On the screenshot you will see the actual result by OpenCage to the right. That is always shown in your browser console every time you click the “Search Address” button. The form fields are filled according to that OpenCage result.

Th screenshots you provided are of the balloon, not the search result. To format the balloon, please check your EM settings.

    Hi Patrick.
Thanks for your answer. But actually, this is not correct. The correct State/County is “Loire-Atlantique” (not “Pays de la loire” as shown on your screenshot) and the correct region is “Pays-de-la-Loire” (not Nantes which is the city).
    Any idea?
    Cheers

If the naming/spelling is incorrect, you need to contact OpenStreetMap.org, because they provide that data. ?? Since it’s Open Source, any contributions are appreciated.

Also, you/one might mix up State/County/Region. I do admit, I would not have put State/County together in the field name, but the original EM developer did that.

If you look at the size from big to small it’s:
Country, State, County, Region, City, Postcode, Address. So to me, personally, it would’ve made more sense to put in Region/County. That would have prevented this confusion. ??

    Hi again,
Sorry but this is very confusing. If I try with an address in the UK, such as “City hall” in the city of “Cambridge”, it shows :
    – City : Cambridge
    – County: England (it should be Cambridgeshire)
    – Region: Cambridgeshire (it should be East Anglia)
    – Country: United-Kingdom.
    Weird…

“East Anglia” is not in the search results. Again the data is provided by OpenStreetMap.org.
