The title says it all. For a protected page, the user should be given the choice to press the “Register” button…

…and then have a choice to log in through the following text:

“or log in to view this course”

For some reason, on my page, it appears in reverse:

“or log in to view this course”

…followed by the big red button:

    “Register”.

Help! Did I mess something up?

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @lingosing,

Just so we’re on the same page, would you share the following:

    • Would you share what configuration you have enabled to make the course “protected”?
    • Is the course a paid course, or a free course?
    • In WP-admin > Sensei LMS > Settings > General, do you have Access Permissions configured so that “Users must be logged in to view lesson content”?
    • What kind of theme are you using? Are you using a default WordPress theme, or are you using a custom theme?
    • Do you have any part of the course available for public, through Lesson settings such as Preview without a login?

Looking forward to hearing back from you,

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

    1. I am using Paid Memberships Pro (on a premium plan)
    2. The course is a paid course in that you need a PMP membership level to access it, but I don’t charge a separate fee for the course for those with the correct membership
    3. Yes – users must be logged in to view courses (and this course in particular)
    4. I’m using a custom theme – Kids Love by Themepalace.com
    5. Yes, some lessons are available as a preview (for example, https://lingosing.com/it/lesson/good-morning-buongiorno-english-master-drafting-copy-not-for-public-target-language-in-square-brackets/)

I’m not sure how those elements above would affect this behaviour, which is the fact that the “Register” button and the “or log in to view this course” are reversed. I can’t remember if it was working at some stage, and suddenly went weird.

    Thanks

    Ciao @lingosing,

I wonder if the Paid Memberships Pro and/or the theme you’re using are creating this wrong order in the register/log in flow.

Can you please temporarily deactivate the Paid Memberships Pro plugin and check if the problem gets fixed that way?

Also, try to temporarily switch your theme to Twenty Twenty and see if the problem persists.

Let me know what you find out, and we’ll take it from there if necessary.

Thanks for sorting this out with us!

    Hello there!

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!
