    Hi there!

I activated this plugin. And unfortunately it messed up my registration and login on https://www.spiderpigwashere.com.

I could not register as a new user anymore.

So I deactivated and deleted this plugin in the hope that it would solve the problem.

The register part now works again but after registering I want to login.
The following happens: A redirect to the homepage, but it doesn’t show that that user is logged in (but he is). When the new user goes to another page in de website it does show that he is logged in.

Have you ever encounterd this problem with other users of this plugin? And can you help me with this problem?

    Kind regards,

    Bas Serné

@basserne995 : Could you be more specific about how your registration and login got “messed up”? What were you experiencing?

I know you stated you “could not register as a new user anymore”, but what exactly was happening? Did it give you a registration error? Did it act like it worked but you don’t believe it did for some reason?

What settings for the plugin did you configure (and to what values)?

The fact that you deactivated and deleted the plugin and are still experiencing issues seems to suggest something else is wrong with your site. The plugin has no lingering effects after its deactivation that would interfere with how registrations or logins are handled by WordPress.

Is there any chance you can deactivate all other plugins and use a default theme, then test logging in and registrations, then activate your theme and test logging in and registrations, and then activate plugins one by one and retest logging in and registrations each time? It seems tedious, but it’s the only sane way debug the situation since there may be some unknown factor(s) involved.

    Hi Scott!

First off all thanks for the reply. I just started to deactivate all the plugins.

After a couple deactivations the following happens:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_is_group() in /home/spiderpigwashere.com/public_html/spiderpigwashere.com/wp-content/plugins/bp-group-customizer-lite/bp-group-customizer.php on line 89

Never had this before and really don’t know what it means and how i can fix it.

    Hi Scott,

With the fatal error above I changed the name of the plugin in FTP.
    Could finally login in admin.

Changed to default theme and deactivated everything.

    Checked register/login, works perfect.
Activated costum theme and all the plugins. The website works great now.

Thanks a lot, your a lifesaver!
