Register for event not working

Hi, I just installed the WP Event Manager plugin and try to add an event with registration facility. The event is free of cost and the Register for Event button is not showing the drop down to enter the customer details, instead of that it shows a link to register and that link is opening the same event in a new tab.

How can i get the drop down to enter the customer details like customer name, email, phone etc.
