register page not working – possible broken by csv upload??

    Hi all,

    Earlier today I tried to move some posts which had been submitted to my site via a Gravity Forms form, over to a new site via the CSV export that Gravity forms provides and a CSV uploader plugin, I used the provided CSV template, but when I uploaded the CSV it logged me out of the site and I got this error when I tried to access the login page

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /var/www/vhosts/dropdeadgorgeousdaily.com/httpdocs/wp-login.php on line 26

    I went back to the main site (its a MU install) logged in via there again and everything seemed to be fixed.

    But now users are telling me the ‘register’ page isn’t working and when I tested it I also got the same error.

    help!

    PS – I have looked on line 26 of the wp-login.php file and there is this which I remember habing to add for a plugin at some stage (can’t remember which one now!)

    <?php
    session_start(); ?>

    I removed it, and the login page came up but with a message saying user registration is now disabled???
