Register to view

I’m trying to get my WP installation to let everyone view every page, but on the blog page I want to restrict it to certain members. I want to make them have a registered account to view the blog, and after they register I don’t want them to be able to see it until I aprove the account.

I’m not sure if this has already been posted or not, I tried searching with tags and the search bar, but didn’t find anything that would help me. I found the user levels, but still can’t figure out how to use them. I’m using WP 2.0.4. Thanks!
