• Hi All,

I wonder if anyone can help or at least point me in the right direction here?

I’m aware that there are several plug-ins that can do the various bits and pieces I’m about to ask, but how can I get them all functioning together or is there even a one-stop solution?

Basically what I’m trying to set up is a form on a WP homepage that stores the following info fields within the WP system and then after submission red-directs the user through to a protected page with pdf download links.

The fields that are vital are:
Name, Email Address & Country of Residence.

As I see it there are a few options here:
    1) Use a plug-in that automatically emails the user with a password upon submission and password-protect the download page. However, obviously this doesn’t stop people just spreading the password around. Is there a way to stop this? Also what would be the best plug-in to use for this?

    2) Set up the form to actually be a register form for the site that creates WP users when submitted. Then re-direct the user to the protected WP page that requires a user to be logged in in order to display. If this is the best idea, what would be the best plug-in for this?

    3) Something I’ve not thought of.

The other thing I need to consider is that however fills out the initial form will be agreeing to be added to an email marketing list, so I need to implement an easy opt in/opt out system to any of the above options. Is this possible? If so, how would I add it to the system?

If anyone can help with this query obviously I would be extremely grateful.

    Thanks,

    Adam.
