Registered Commenter Profile Page?

Hello all

I knew the day would come when I would have to learn how to program in PHP… that weakness was going to show up eventually so I’m rolling up my sleeves and traveling the learning curve.

As an example of what I’m looking to do, just take a look at this page your reading right now. To the left is my nickname and below that it says “member” – click on member and it will take you to a commenter profile page – its exactly what I’m looking for.

Is there a way to do the following:
I want a little user profile page, that’s loaded after clicking on a username from a comment poster.
-> little (pop-up) profile with website, username, hobbies, etc
-> for user profiles, not only for author profiles
-> every (registered) user can see the profile of any other registered user.

However, my site has no commenters – no information for the database to display even if I can figure out how to do this.

Could I get a few of you to make a simple comment at my site? – the database needs something to display!

Please excuse my messy site – I’m trying to get it to work right before I tune the design
