Registered users unable to Login

    To start with the UM member plugin version installed that is the latest Version 2.1.1 Theme running on the website is Voice 2.8.4 and latest WordPress installed.
    Tried every possible thing which I could to do to resolve a recent explored major issue in which registered users are unable to Login and shows incorrect password entered even though it is the right one (but I (admin) can log in to WordPress dashboard using the same easily, I don’t know why so). The website is hosted on Hostinger servers and uses Cloudflare services. I also disabled the Cloudflare services for some time to know if caching pages were the cause, but it also didn’t work. To see for any other plugin conflict, I disabled all but UM Membership to see if that resolves the issue, but the same persists.
    Well, it was all working fine since I started using UM Member, but all of a sudden this issue made me clueless about its cause.
    Please help me out and guide what I can do possibly.

    Hi! @nsinelnikov,

    As being Admin, I am able to login to WordPress dashboard using both wp-admin login page and using the UM Member plugin page. The problem occurs only when any other registered user tries to log in using the UM Member page (Hopefully, user might not be able to login using wp-admin page), which shows an error of incorrect username or password entered each time, even credentials are correct as registered by the user.

    You can see the problem live, for this, I am sharing a testing user credentials which are correct. please visit https://thoughtshouts.com/member-login/ OR go to the homepage and click the login option on top right to Login using Pop-Up Login form.
    The other way round, you can register yourself using signup there on the website and after verifying through activation email, try login using your registered credentials…. that will explain this troublesome event

    I’m having a similar issue. When a new user registers, and activates their account, the password they provided when signing up does not allow them to login. However, if they do a password reset, they can login. This is only recently began happening. I’ve disabled plugins, changed themes, and still no luck so far.

    We are also having a similar issue.
    At first the error message always said that it’s the wrong password. Then we deleted the password field in the Login Form and tried to create it again, now the error message says: “please enter a password”, even though we have a password field and entered the correct one.

    Turns out we were just able to fix the problem, although we are not quite sure what caused it.
    Here are a few things we tried, maybe this helps you to solve the bug:
    .. other plugins or themes didn’t cause it, because we tried to deactivate those
    .. deactivating and deleting the plugin also didn’t change anything because our settings were saved
    .. we deleted our register and login form and changed all custom fields to predefined fields except for one and that did the trick

    Can you please elaborate on how you resolved the issue because I did the same and deleted the register and login forms, creating both new ones but the same issue persists. Only able to log in from admin credentials but other registered users cannot.
    It would be a great help from you and the developers’ team as I don’t intend to switch to other user registration plugin because of some awesome UM Member features.

    unfortunately, we don’t really know what caused the issue, but I’ll try to explain the steps we tried:
    First, we uninstalled and deactivated the plugin and installed it again. Our forms were saved between the old and new installation, so we deleted the forms. In the field manager we then used the field types in the first two sections and not the user-defined fields.

    I hope you know the issue that bothered me.
    Till the time plugin worked fine, there were some users registered using the register feature of UM Member.
    Here are the things which I did to resolve it and steps taken in chronological order:
    1) I uninstalled UM Member completely with ‘Delete data on uninstallation’ selected
    2) All forms and pages created by UM Member were deleted
    3) I again installed UM Member, that created all 3 forms and UM pages, after setting up all, I found that the issue got partially resolved.
    BECAUSE AFTER THIS, ONLY NEW USER IS ABLE TO LOGIN SUCCESSFULLY AFTER REGISTERING.
    BUT…….those who were registered with the previous installation of the plugin are still unable to log in, with an error that shows wrong login credentials entered. Though all the registered users show in users option, after going to Users tab on WordPress dashboard, I can see registration info of only the newly registered users (by clicking on info), but not of those who got registered from the old installation. Even if those users reset their password, they were unable to login with there credentials

    I am clueless and partially happy that finally login works but came with a new issue.
    I hope to get a working resolution form your side and developers team.
