Registered widget areas not showing content

  • This is my first time using the forum so be nice!

    I am currently developing the site https://www.vexone.co.uk and having a couple of issues with it. When I add a widget to either of my registered widget areas (primary and secondary) in the wysiwyg editor, the changes are not reflected on the site, in fact neither widget area shows anything at all. There should be 2 columns of widgets to the right of the main blog post area.

    I am fairly new to .php but have a good grounding in html and css. I have copy and pasted bits from various other themes to get the functionality i required, so I’m wondering if it might be something that I have added/ not added in my functions.php file.

    Any and all suggestions are extremely welcome! Thanks guys.
