    I understand that.
Would it be easier if I just gave you an admin access to the back end?

Today I discovered something. I was trying to move a “committee” subscription to a “paid member” one but although no refusal message, it just won’t take the change. Why is that?

And while I was trying to do that, I did manage to change the gateway of that member from admin to paypal express (which is the only active gateway anyway). In the field “where to move from” it was written “admin (default gateway)”. This could be the source of the problem. But I can’t find anywhere where to change the default gateway.

I need more subscriptions/levels and am about to buy the full version of the plugin but before I do that, I really need to make sure those problems can be solved/controlled.

    Hello again @caspergrimaldi,
If a memebr is manually assigned to a subsription plan then they don’t go though the payment process and this is why the “admin” payment gateway appears. It’s just a way to differentiate the members that were manually added vs the ones that actually went through PayPal.

    I see.
What about the rest of the problems? You haven’t told me if it would help for me to give you an admin access so it’s easier for you to see the settings.

Oh and how about the answer to why i can’t change the subscription or level to current members please?

    Hi @caspergrimaldi

I’m afraid we can’t login to your site and help you via these forums.

That level of support is available to paying members of WPMU DEV though.

As for changing access levels for current members, that can be done.

Go to Membership > All Members. Hover over a member and then click ‘Add’ under subscription or membership level and add whatever you like.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Add adds a subscription, it doesn’t cancel the other one. I want to drop the subscription but it won’t let me.

i tried to buy plugin but had payment issues. Emailed billing department.

I really hope this can be fixed once I’ve bought it cause if not, I’ll be very disappointed. Already am to be honest. It really shouldn’t be THAT complicated and THAT long to deal with.

    Hey @caspergrimaldi,

To move a member from one package to another, use the move link. On the page that loads, leave the top dropdown box alone, and select in the bottom drop-down the package you want to move them to, then click save.

    Thread Starter caspergrimaldi

    (@caspergrimaldi)

    Nope it doesn’t work.

Hmmm… that surprises me. Are you sure you id exactly as I said? I did it wrong myself for a while before I realised what I was doing wrong.

I’ll ask the developer to take a look in case there is a bug here somewhere… but in my tests, what I suggested works!

    (@caspergrimaldi)

    membership>all members

    List of members shows up.

I choose one, under “subscriptions” it says “committee” and under “membership level” it says committee.

    I’ve tried clicking on “drop”.
option offered is “select the subscription to remove” but it doesn’t offer anything under that.
    I’ve tried “move”.
“select the subscription to move from” (no option so left empty)
“select the level to move to” (I choose Join the ADA)

    Nothing happens.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Hello there @caspergrimaldi,
I’m sorry it took me so long to reply to this thread.
Do you still require assistance or have you managed to resolve this?

    Thread Starter caspergrimaldi

    (@caspergrimaldi)

    Hey,

    Yes and no.

What I did is I deleted the “committee” subscription so ended up with only one: “join the ADA”. Since then it’s been fine.

I just got the full plugin version, I have to implement different levels and subscriptions with it, so hopefully it will all be fine.

I’m trying to send a support email to WPMU as a member but it doesn’t work. Everytime I hit “send” it sends me to the top of the window without any error message or anything and email isn’t sent.
    so I need your help.
The drop and move still aren’t working. So I have a member who is marked as committee but isn’t but I can’t change him.

    Hey there.

I spotted your email thread on our system and replied there. I suggest you mark this thread as resolved and stick to one thread to save any confusion.

    Thanks!
