I have a client running wordpress and we are having a serious problem with all admin, specifically the registration verification confirmation emails being totally deleted by hotmail, gmail, aol, and yahoo. The emails do not even make it to the junkmail folder. I know those services do content filtering but there is nothing in those emails except the verification link. So than I figured it had something to do with the domain name but the site owner who has over 7000 registered members sends out a newsletter to all o her registered members twice a week and all of those emails get through yahoo, hotmail, gmail, and aol without problem.

Why would these providers delete the admin emails from wordpress?

Most likely, your domain is on a blacklist.

To check if you’ve been blacklisted see:

I checked the sites domain and IP address and we are not listed on any list whatsoever… blacklistmonitoring checks everything out there and we do not show up…

Are you sure it’s sending emails to anyone then? You could ask your host for help debugging, but it seems odd that only those would be blocking. If it’s not sending emails at all, that would be a server config issue.

Emails are coming through from the server with no problem. I have registered with a number of email addresses plus the client gets 50-100 new registrations per week and the ONLY people who dont receive the emails are from hotmail, msn, aol, yahoo & gmail. It is easy to see this because when I go to the unverified users list it only shows those email addresses.

I just sent yahoo and hotmail tech support copied of the message headers and a problem description and let’s see if they respond with a solution.

Contacted host support as Ipstenu suggested and amazingly they fixed it. They wont say what the problem was though but surely on their end!

    Thank you for your help!
