Spam registrations are almost as common as spam comments, mainly because they try to get around sites that require registration for commenting.

Do you actually *need* registration on your site? If you do, try this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/

If you don’t, you can switch off registration at Settings -> General in your blog’s Dashboard.
